Maha Nati, beauty icon and most adorable artiste of South India, Savitri who is to be honoured with a commemorable postal stamp by Government of India. The Indian postal department has issued new stamps in the honour of few legendry actors and actresses including Nuthan, Meena Kumari, Leela Naidu, Devika Rani and Kannan Devi apart from Savitri.

The stamp on Savitri will be released on February 13th. Earlier, Government had issued stamps in the honour of actresses Nargis and Madhubhala.

Savitri is uncontested in the respect she earns for her intense performances. She is the most favourite actress of biggest celebrities of South India who had a tragic end. Her roles in 'Mayabazar', Devadasu, Devatha and Mooga Manasulu are classics and reference worthy.





It is well aware that Gopichand is getting ready to perform under the direction of Krishnavamsi and the film 'Mogudu' is the title under consideration for the movie. More information started pouring in about the film and it is learnt that Kajal Agarwal had signed the dotted line to pair up with action hero Gopichand this time.

It is worth mentioning here that Kajal, the most happening actress these days, had paired up with several young leaders including Ram Charan, NTR, Allu Arjun and Prabhas had expressed her willingness to play with Gopichand.

Nallamalupu Srinivas (Bujji) is producing the movie, while Kalyani Mallick is scoring music for the flick. The film would be a romantic entertainer on the lines of 'Ninne Pelladatha' of Nagarjuna, which was directed by Krishnavamsi. The film would hit the floors somewhere during March.





Many of the most eligible bachelors of the Tollywood, including Allu Arjun, NTR are getting ready to tie the nuptial knots shortly. Actor Gopichand is also likely to join the bandwagon this year.

As per the latest news, Gopichand's mother had completed her search for a bride for this angry young man and it was ended with the selection of the girl. It is learnt that Gopichand's mother finalised the daughter of Venigalla Ananda Prasad of Bhavya Cements for the purpose. It had come to the light that the long-term friendship between both the families finally paved way for the alliance. He produce4d some movies.

Though both the families came to an understanding, it is yet to be confirmed officially. It may be mentioned here that the same had produced a film 'Wanted' with Gopichand with BVS Ravi as hero and of course it bumped at the Box Office.



Chubby star Krishnudu is on a movie signing spree. His film ' Naaku Oka Lover Undhi' will start shooting on Valentine's day. The movie is a romantic comedy. New girl Rithika is playing Krishnudu's heroine in this project. K Ramvenky who was a part of K Raghavendra Rao's directorial team is debuting as director with this film. K Suresh Babu is also turning a producer with this movie on his Sri Shiva Parvathi combines banner.

K M Radhakrishnan is the music director. The audio re-recording is already complete. M S Naryana, Ali, Hema, master Bharath, Ushasri et al have been signed for this rom-com.





Puri Jagannath who gave a big hit like Pokiri with Maheshbabu and rewrote the 80-year old history of the Telugu cinema is presently directing Rana Daggubati for 'Nenu Naa Rakshasi'.

Now a big gossip is making rounds in Film Nagar that Puri Jagannath is planning to remake Bollywood blockbuster 'Sholay' of Amitabh, Dharmendra and Hemamalini. The sensational director is making efforts to rope in mass hero Gopichand and Young Rebel Star Prabhas for the two lead roles. With the heroes of the younger generation showing eagerness in playing multi-starrers, this film would be a real feast for the Telugu audiences in general and their fans in particular.

South hottie Nayanatara who is playing a devotional role of Sita in Bapu's Sriramarajyam announced that she will not act in movies after this film. Sources close to the actress say that her boyfriend actor Prabhudeva asked Nayanatara not to act in movies anymore after this film and hence she took the deciscion.

She also rubbished rumours that her relationship with Prabhudeva came to an end. She clarified that things are absolutely fine between her and Prabhudeva.

"Tamil actor Vijay asked me to play a role in Tamil version of 'Bodyguard'. But I refused because I am not going to act anymore. 'Sri Ramarajyam' is a movie I am proud of. I feel blessed to play the role of Sita who is the epitome of Indian woman. Besides, acting in Bapu's film and sharing screenspace with Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Balaiah is memorable. I am glad I am bidding farewell to film industry with Sita's role which has huge scope for acting" Nayanatara said.
